Brand Engagement: David Beckham and Adidas Capsule Collection

Adidas came to us with a very specific goal: to connect directly with young people of east London and launch the then new, “Adidas Capsule Collection” alongside a game of 5-a-side football with England’s iconic David Beckham.

This was an interesting brief as it required our detailed knowledge of local factors which no-one else could quickly bring together.

We were tasked with finding an easily accessible location for local people, which would also be secure and easy to facilitate. It would additionally need to offer areas for a show room, a theatre and a football pitch.

Our extensive knowledge and connections to local housing associations, schools, colleges and the councils own property teams allowed us to advertise directly to the required audiences and source the desired destination at Poplar Baths.

Adidas were delighted with the results, where Beckham had a kickabout on their rooftop pitch against local school children and then moved on to delivering a short talk on the footwear Adidas were launching in a purpose built, immersive experience showroom in the Baths main room.

We transformed the old swimming pool into an immersive exhibition space that also hosted a live panel. The venue gave us a completely unique space and organisers were flexible and on hand to accommodate our every need”
