Registering a Location

You might have a business that could be of interest to the Film Industry either

• for the services you provide (such as taxi-cabs, printing, security) or

• as a location

We are compiling an on-line register of companies and businesses both in the areas we represent and, with specialist companies across London.

If you wish to be placed on that register please send us your details:

• if you have a business pack outlining your services please mail that to our office OR

• complete the on-line forms for service or location registration.

• or contact our data manager who will assist you.

If a location manager were interested your premises as a we would phone you - before anyone from the production would visit you - to discuss the project. With over 25 years in the business we understand the complexities of filming and will help you avoid obvious problems.

Inclusion on the database is free. If a production company uses your premises as a result of finding it on the database we charge a commission on the location fee earned.

There are two levels of commission:

• 5% for inclusion on the data base to cover administration costs or

• 15% for full management; the Film Office will handle fee negotiation, licencing checking insurance, access, invoicing and fee collection. The Film Office has a lot of experience of dealing with production companies, we know who the cowboys are and our filming licence is used by many other boroughs engaged in this field. We can negotiate the market rate for your property given the type of production, hours of occupation, loss of revenue etc. In addition to the above the Film Office can handle any site visits and monitor the production during the shoot.
